BIOGRAPHY

Late Madam Sarah Oaldeebo Sanni (JP) was born on July 18, 1937 at Ile-Aranfa Sangote Saki Oyo State to the family of Late Pa Samuel Afolabi (Baba Pupa) a tailor and a farmer and Mama Grace Ayinbo Afolabi (Iya eleko). She was the first child and daughter of her parents. Her Grandmother, Omoyeni Ayinke Ojiele was one of the princesses of Okere Olarinre of Sakiland. Oladeebo was described as a gentle, intelligent and diligent daughter and was marked for greatness since childhood.

Mama Dayo, You were a caring, cooperating, comforting... woman. Your concern when we were in need during our school days can not be quantified. Your compassion when we were ill almost dying as Nurse is incompatible. It is only the Holy spirit that can comfort and console me, as your departure remains indelible in my heart. Bye Mama Dayo. Until we meet to part no more. O digba.

Maami, the journey began approximately 88 years ago and abruptly ended on June 10, 2025. It ended as quickly as we had hoped that the love that bound us together would not, but who are we to question the Lord Almighty, who made it possible for us to be together?

Maami was expressing genuine love to his children and everyone around her without regard for status, tribe, or religion. She would pay frequent visits to her family and friends, regardless of whether they reciprocated.

A Tribute to My Mother by Titilayo Sanni (Son). My mother is an example of a woman of valor as stated in the bible. She is a person of strength, courage, and faith. As the first born of her parents, she demonstrated love, kindness, and other qualities worthy of emulation. She is very hard working, at the initial stage of her career as a nurse, whenever there was a need for more staff at the hospital my mother would never hesitate to go to work.

Maami, as we fondly called you, you were a real mother who nurtured and trained your children in the way we should go. The lya Olomopupo that you were called made you to have lost count of the number of lives you touched.
